PROMPT: To create a PSA campaign towards a charity or cause of your choice. This includes OLA's, a print ad, and a full press kit (brochure, press release, folder).
I based my campaign off of the increase in vaping with minors, primarily kids. I have had young family members in my life get subjected to vaping through school or friends, and I believe this is in part due to tobacco/vaping companies launching candy like flavors to hook children into becoming life long customers of nicotine based products. Running with this candy idea, I decided to play evil Willy Wonka and turn that world into a sinister real world counterpart that is happening around us. The "Candy Man", being big tobacco is real, and is affecting millions of our kids out there. I wanted this campaign to really grab the attention of a wide span of demographics, so I aimed at shock value more than anything, whether through whimsical twisted visuals, or snarky headlines/copy.
